Thomas Bania: Do any of us believe these are actual flying saucers from outer space? No. All I’m saying is that if a foreign power developed technology, then later on we’d see technology like that from them, either in operation or testing. I can’t comment on whether they’re UFOs or not, because I don’t want to look like a kook, to be blunt. That never materialized later into a foreign nation having a capability like that. The UFO sightings dating back into the ’50s and ’60s were never technology that we were able to see later on from a foreign power. My concern with the report is that stated it could be a foreign power’s technology. ![]() did we track something that we thought was a UFO. I never flew for the Air Force-I was a nuclear and space guy. Jack Weinstein: I have no expertise in UFOs except for watching Men in Black. It also gets to observe the Russian military and Wagner, hence the AWACS in the area monitoring 24/7.Q &A With Thomas Bania and Jack Weinstein BU Today: Any doubts about the government’s reported conclusion that the recent sightings aren’t extraterrestrials? It's also a good opportunity to revive NATO and increase the cohesion of the US-Europe alliance, while distancing it from Russia.įrom an economic perspective, the US will rebuild Ukraine and put all its corporations in it and open up another US-aligned market in the area.įrom a military perspective, the US gets to test its weapons against the Russian forces, which is extremely useful. Now for what actually matters, Geopolitics and POWER.įrom an idealistic perspective that should work for shitlib biomass, the US is fighting against an authoritarian Russian regime that's dangerous to democracies nearby.įrom a neocon/neolib perspective, the US is weaking one of its two main competitors at the tiny cost of like 7% of the military budget or something. Sorry to say but this average person, often seen riding some fatmobile in a store or MAGA rally, is a lost cause. Common man in the US is a 60% white polarized mutt with an IQ in rapid collapse and dependent on multiple psychotropic drugs while eating shit food and having 30BMI. The common man does not represent the US. The common man is not relevant at a geopolitical stage. Hurricanes are arguably far most destructive than nukes especially over a greater area, also the destruction form a hurricane lasts much longer. Well what about societal collapse? I think a lot of discussion about this topic comes from natural disasters like hurricane Katrina and I don't know how useful it is to draw conclusions based on that. The US is a big county, finding food, water and shelter shouldn't be too hard for a community. ![]() All people really need to survive is fresh water, some food and basic shelter, people with pre-existing medical conditions are fucked but that can't be helped. The real killer is going to be the collapse of supply chains and services that keep communities alive but even then there's a question of what that really means. Living next to a major military base (especially one with nukes) then you probably will have to deal with a strike but I wager your better off than your city living neighbors thanks to that distance you'll have and the low chance of infrastructure collapsing around you. If you're also a good distance from a source of radiation you're probably fine as well.Ī big dense city of millions isn't going to have a good time thanks to the wide spread destruction to the buildings around you, but smaller cities and towns are probably going to be relatively okay. Radiation also isn't that big of a deal, modern nukes are relatively clean and most of the bad isotopes are gone within the first few days anyway. The concept of a "nuclear winter" is dubious, it's based on data from WW2 firebombing campaigns and low resolution computer models made with flawed assumptions.
